Man Executed for Killing Eight Women in Beijing Bloodbath

BEIJING A man who burst into a hostel in a Beijing suburb and stabbed to death eight women in a botched robbery attempt was executed Wednesday morning in the Chinese capital, AFP reported Wednesday. Thirty-six-year-old Zhao Lianrong was convicted on charges of intentional homicide of eight young women in the district of Shijingshan, the Beijing Evening Post said. Zhao had "slashed and stabed" the women to death, puncturing their bodies with a total of more than 100 wounds.
